This comfortable hotel is on a wide expanse of beach that runs right up to the spacious pool area. It doesn't have the flash of some of its top-end competitors but it's a relaxing place for a classic beach holiday.
The feel here in parts is like an old Balinese village. The grounds are among the most beautiful on the island, with flowing plants and ponds filled with carp. The cream and dark brown rooms are filled with numerous luxuries and come with their own spacious balcony or veranda. What really sets the property apart are the private-walled villas - a few units linked by flower-lined stone paths with private pools and other pleasures. Note that the property is somewhat over-shadowed - literally - by the hulking Anantara Resort to the south. This controversial flash hotel had to lop off its top floor shortly after completion as it violated local building codes.
